Happy 2016, everyone. I have high hopes for this year. 

1. Here is to hoping we no longer put ourselves in situations that make us uncomfortable. 

2. Here is to hoping we take care of ourselves and listen to our bodies. 

3. Here is to hoping we don’t maintain relationships that are bad for us just because they’re familiar and we’re scared of being alone. 

4. Here is to being kinder not only to the people around us, but to ourselves.

5. Here is to hoping that when we’re depressed, we go outside and feel the sun on our skin instead of lying in bed. 

6. Here is to making more friends and not allowing social anxiety to control our happiness. 

7. Here is to hoping we call our parents when we’re upset and FaceTime our younger siblings when it feels like there isn’t a speck of hope left in our lives. 

8. Here is to breathing deeply and truly believing we’re okay when anxiety starts to control us. 

9. Here is to accepting help when it’s offered and we really need it. 

10. Here is to maintaining the relationships that truly feed our souls, but also allowing ourselves time to be alone.
